About

It’s a big task so let’s start small…

Let’s be totally honest here: Saving the world is a huge, important and very complex job that many of us might not be able or willing to accomplish during their time on this beautiful blue marble. The main problems being: where to start and what can I really do to make a difference?

This is where this blog comes in.

The good news is: There are many small things you can do that make a huge difference.

Maybe to you saving the world means taking better care of the environment, or raising awareness for social or political issues – there are many ways in which the world could do with a bit of saving. To us, it means doing the best we can, and helping others to do the same by compiling information.

Whether you want to produce less waste, decide to go straight-edge vegan, try to be a nicer person to those around you or are just looking for a good organic cookie recipe, we want to inspire you and provide you with a range of possibilities of taking care of yourself and your planet.

We collect useful ideas, advice, articles, videos and other media to “save the world” (or make it just a little bit better and more sustainable) and post them here for your inspiration.

That being said, we don’t actually claim to have a big master plan laid out on how many people have to follow what advice to actually save the earth by 2025 – but we have come up with a fair few ideas over the years that we wanted to share with you. What these should have in common is, that they are more or less easy to do/ easy to use, easy to share and fairly easy to replicate so you can spread the word and inspire other people to do the same.

Who we are

We are neither working for an NGO nor politically involved in any party or otherwise affiliated, nor do we have a commercial interest in this blog. We are just two ordinary girls who care for the world – the planet, the people on it, and everything else that comes with it – and like to think things through and try to make the world a better place for all of us. We have travelled a bit and lived in some different parts of the world, seen our fair share of countries and people and grown up with a computer at home.

We look forward to your comments and thoughts and invite you to share our ideas with us. Should you decide not post your comment publicly, you can reach us via e-mail/private message.
